Upon execution of the inter-regional agreement on the remuneration of private sector employees, the Collective of February 5, 2009 called for free access for industrial and commercial areas and shopping centers.
POINT STAGE OF NEGOTIATIONS IN PROGRESS:
Fort-de-France, Wednesday, March 11, 2009 - The Collective of February 5, 2009 is an interim update on the ongoing negotiations, and planning of scheduled appointments.
It's early morning that the "inter-regional agreement on the remuneration of private sector employees in Martinique" was signed between trade unions of employees and employers' organizations. With this agreement the private sector employees whose gross annual salary is less than or equal to 1.4 SMIC will benefit from an increased income of € 200.
For those whose gross annual salary is between 1.4 and 1.6 SMIC they will be increased by 4%. Finally those whose gross annual salary is greater than 1.6 minimum wage will receive a 2% increase.
The discussions in the afternoon was devoted to establishing a schedule of plenary meetings, to continue consideration of questions of the following sectors:

Minimum social / pension
Phone
Water
TPE trade
TPE crafts
EPIC
Hospitality / tourism
BTP
Credit agency
Transport of goods
Agriculture

Local civil service
Two agreements were signed on the one hand, higher incomes and wages of the civil service, and also the application of laws and regulations in communities and commitment of parliamentarians.
The first states: "... a non-permanent employees who work in the public sector with a contract, whether public or private law, a net increase of € 200 to a maximum of 1.4 SMIC.
